Personal Training
My training plans are highly personalised, and I work with people of all ages and abilities – from athletes to people who have never strength trained before.
My core beliefs are:
- Little and often has powerful cumulative results – so we need to train consistently and regularly.
- Regular strength and mobility training are essential for longevity and to future proof your body.
- Enjoyment drives consistency so to stay motivated, it must be a type of training that is rewarding and can fit into your lifestyle.
My methodology:
I coach using whole-body, aligned movement patterns that rapidly improve strength, mobility and overall fitness.
- Depending on your experience I start by teaching you basic functional movements then slowly add weight.
- I help you establish a strong connection to the ground – starting with the hands and feet, allowing you to feel how these connect to the rest of your body.
- Sessions focus mostly on compound movements: simultaneously targeting various muscle groups, while mobilising through the full possible range of movement (far more effective than ‘arm’ or ‘leg day’ at the gym).
- Rather than excessive bracing or tension, the emphasis is on reflexive strength teaching your body to respond naturally and appropriately.
- Every movement is taught with core strength and breath at its centre, creating a strong, connected foundation.
- Using an anatomically and alignment-based approach, I prioritise correct form to help you get the best results while reducing the risk of injury.
Modalities:
“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist” Picasso
I have many years of experience teaching Kettlebells, Animal Flow® and other types of ‘unconventional’ training methods.
I combine these as ‘Flow’, which is at the heart of my coaching.
Flow training:
- Uses movement sequences that can be weighted or unweighted
- Combines different modalities (eg kettlebells and Animal Flow®)
- Develops fluid, connected movement that carries into everyday life
- Challenges both body and brain
- Is fun and expressive – you’ll forget you are working out
- Can be a mindful and meditative practice
- Is endlessly adaptable to your mood, energy and goals
Unconventional training:
Encompasses all sorts of different tools and movements that you wouldn’t see in a typical gym.
- It builds real-life strength for everyday activities: lifting, twisting, reaching, carrying, and changing direction.
- Combines strength, power, mobility, coordination and stability into single exercises.
- Because you hit many areas at once it’s brilliant for short, sharp workouts (no need for a long drawn out session).
- Since you first learn and then perform a skill, it’s like learning a new language each time – which is much more motivating and exciting.
Kettlebells
Kettlebells are incredibly effective and versatile tools that engage the entire body across all planes of movement. They very quickly improve cardio, mobility, strength and power, as well as grip strength.
Kettlebell flow develops smooth, fluid movement while improving endurance. It also couples beautifully with bodyweight training methods such as Animal Flow®, creating balanced, dynamic and engaging sessions.
Animal Flow
Animal Flow® is a ground-based, bodyweight training system performed on all fours to create fluid and challenging movement sequences. It seamlessly blends elements from Yoga, gymnastics and dance to give you a complete, all-encompassing workout.
This flowing practice enhances strength, mobility, balance, coordination and endurance, as well as keeping your mind actively alert and stimulated.
Because movements can be adapted to suit different abilities, Animal Flow® is accessible to most people, and the health benefits are huge.
It’s highly addictive and for those who discover it, it soon becomes their preferred way to train.

What My Clients Are Saying
“Janey has transformed my body and my life through her creative workout regime, understanding of human anatomy and expert qualifications in multiple different disciplines. I first came to her for help in a post natal slump and she worked with me on gentle reawakening of my muscles, knowing just when and how hard to push me. She is ultra well prepared with different workouts that always challenge me and working with her is quite literally my favourite activity all week. You will leave Janey’s fitter, stronger and healthier”.
